Singing in the Rain - Gary Gentry on December 29, 2008 at 06:00 AM said:

I don't think I will ever forget the power of the moment. We were a small group of adults and teens working on carving a hole in solid rock for a foundation. We were in central Mexico working for an elderly blind lady. Every afternoon at 2pm the skies would open up and it would pour rain, we would go into the adobe hut and sit on the one chair, bed, floor to listen to the voice of a blind angel sing. "No One ever cared for me like Jesus". Her voice was strong and sure. I don't think we ever finished the task of building the foundation, but the Lord did a great job of building his character into us that long hot week in Mexico.

I look forward to singing in heaven with blind angels who can now see.

Glory to God.

The Teachable Cow! on December 28, 2008 at 04:21 PM said:

In 2006 we were teaching a VBS in Ethiopia. To our surprise a very large cow decided to walk into the classroom. The curiosity of the cow was just too much to resist. Once we chased the cow out of the building it proceeded to eat one of the tie dye tee-shirts. We had to call a vet to make sure the cow would live!

Get me into Mexico on December 28, 2008 at 04:17 PM said:

Who can forget the time that the BCC youth group tried to enter Mexico to work with Casa De Mor. Just one problem - One student forgot his passport. We eventually made it across the border with a Library Card! Thanks for the memories Jeff!
